Hi all,
My insurance company (Progressive) is charging a ridiculously high rate for liability only insurance for my H4 spouse who currently holds a valid permit. They say the rate will go further up when she gets a perm license after passing the road test.
I have heard this issue from other H1Bs who have different insurance carriers than mine.
Have you guys found a cheaper alternative? Insurance agents etc??

I had a RFE against my I-485 in last week of Nov 07. It was for medical exam, doc forgot to check one box :(
Now the RFE has been replied to and USCIS should hopefully have no further questions on my application. But now the issue is retrogression of EB2 India back to Jan 02 (while I am Jun 03). So does that mean though my application could be cleared by the immigration officer, it will still be put back on shelf because of the retrogression in Dec 07 ?

If you don't intend to change your employer, you can travel on AP, comeback and continue working on H1B.

I am applying for my AP and EAD renewal, please help me with few questions:
For EAD:
14) Manner of last entry: H4? (I was on H4 when I last entered)
15) Current Immigration Status: AOS? (My husband received his GC)
16) Eligibility: ???

For AP:
1.3) Class of Admission: H4?
3.2) Expected length of time: ???

I have not heard of a single approval date of someone applying on June 1st!
According to the processing dates, they are all in RD of 06 sometime.
People HAVE been getting receipt numbers, but thats an entirely different kettle of fish.

Dear Friends at forum:
My husband was an Asylee (approved asylum) when he got married to me. But he got the Green card through me. I am a US citizen. Now he wants to apply for Citizenship through me.
when we applied for his Green card he had to renew his passport of his country of citizenship. it was one of the requirements. That country of citizenship was obviously also the county of his persecution. there was absolutely no issue about it at the time of his Green card interview.
But could it be a problem for citizenship interview?
He never traveled to his country of citizenship nor to any other place. He has never left USA ever since he came here. Does his asylum case will again surface at the time of citizenship even when he is applying for citizenship through me?My understanding is that the asylum thing is no more the issue if he got the GC through me??
Your advice, input and suggestions will be highly appreciated.

My case cannot be processed under CSPA, because the form I-824 was not filed within one year of the visa becoming available.
